May I introduce you to our Resort Hotel and explain some important information which will be helpful to you during your stay
Water Sports and Scuba Diving
Both the Water Sports and Dive Bures are located below the Restaurant and access is from the wooden sun deck to the right
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Snorkeling areas are marked by yellow and orange buoys, if you are snorkeling in front of the resort you must stay exclusively within this area
Boat Entry and Boat Exit is marked by two white buoys
Please always keep clear of this area at all times and be aware of all boats
Please ask one of our Water Sports or Activities Staff for their assistance when using any of the water sports equipment such as hobby cat, windsurfer, sail boat and kayaks. Life vests must be worn at all times when using the water sports equipment.
This equipment is only available for use during half tide or full tide and cannot be used during low tide as it will damage our reefs
Matamanoa coral reefs are a marine sanctuary, our reefs are beautiful and pristine and we request your assistance in maintaining the beauty of our reefs for future generations, please do not stand on the coral, please do not remove any living shell or coral from the reef, regeneration of coral is a very long process

Useful Hints
When swimming or snorkeling, please make sure your jewellery is secure, your fingers can shrink a little in the water and rings may slip off and become lost
In each bure and room, there is a safety deposit box for your personal exclusive use
Water is drinkable from the tap in your bure or room, if you wish you can purchase bottled water from the Bar
If during your stay you are celebrating either a birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion and would like a cake or private dinner arrangements please advise Reception to make these special arrangements for you, a day’s notice is preferable
If you are departing early morning either via private water taxi or helicopter to connect international flights please kindly advise our reception the day prior to your departure, it is very important to confirm these arrangements with Reception

TOURIST VAT REFUND
Tourists who make a purchase of $500 or more while in Fiji will now receive Value Added Tax (VAT) refunds upon their departure. The Tourist VAT Refund Scheme (TVRS) allows for refunds to be collected at the ANZ Nadi Airport Branch and at the Suva Wharf for visiting cruise liners. Conversion to foreign currency is an individual option, but the nominated currency must be on the ANZ Standard Currencies Listing.
To be eligible for a VAT refund a tourist must not be a Fiji citizen, holder of a Fiji passport, employed in Fiji the past six months, nor a member of cabin or flight crew and not under the age of 13.
To qualify a tourist must:
- Spend FJ$500 (VAT inclusive) or more in any of the registered VAT refund outlets on the same day ·
- Take the goods out of Fiji within two months from the date of purchase
- Present the goods for inspection along with the Refunds Form, original tax invoice, passport and international boarding pass to a Customs Officer at the Tourist VAT Refund Inspection Counter.
