2010 will be a year of change on Matamanoa Island Resort, we have two very major projects to embark on. Everyone is very excited and can’t wait to commence.
Project Number One (1)
Is our state of the art indoor/outdoor spa. For those of you who have visited Matamanoa, if you were standing on the helipad and facing the beautiful ocean, turn left and walk a couple of hundred metres along the beach. Hidden in amongst the trees is a beautiful natural area with very large rock formations, tropical enriched plants, heightened by the very mature trees. Please download architect’s plans. We are planning on work commencing in February 2010 and completion in April 2010. As this area is a long distance from the Resort, there will be no interruption to the operation of the Resort, and very little, if any noise. Senikai Spa will operate our Spa with a range of current and new treatments.
The new Spa will be built along the rock face of the northern side of the Island amongst a secluded forest. This idyllic landscape provides an array of natural resources. The rock face is the perfect backdrop for our thalassotherapy sea mineral mud packs and aroma algae body wraps. An outdoor rock shower compliments this indulgent Spa experience. The spa is complete with tranquil surroundings, a dedicated reception and retail area and treatment bures with panoramic ocean views. Senikai Spas therapeutic rituals are influenced by local marine and plant extracts used to nurture and heal Fijians since ancient times. Project Number Two (2)
The Hotel Rooms. This is very exciting. We will close the Resort from 01 November 2010 and reopen on 02 December 2010. During this time, we will completely renovate our 13 Hotel Rooms. Our Directors have engaged the services of noted architect Mr Peter Rankin from AAPi design in Suva. Mr Rankin has worked with leading Hotels and Resorts around the globe, he has put together a very professional design team to oversee and complete this project.
One of the major differences will be KING SIZE beds, these beds will split into 2 single beds opening up the hotel rooms to be available for twin share.
